DSİP: Şimdi barış zamanıdır!

Devrimci Sosyalist İşçi Partisi (DSİP), tarihi çağrı üzerine bir açıklama yayınladı.

DSİP'in açıklaması:

"Abdullah Öcalan’ın İmralı’dan ilettiği mesaj, Kürt meselesinin diyalogla ve barışçıl çözümü açısından çok önemli bir kapıyı aralamıştır.

Hem metni ileten Dem Parti heyetinin tutumu hem de basın açıklamasının yapıldığı salondan Van ve Diyarbakır’daki gibi meydanlara bir araya gelen kitleler, bu çağrının Kürt halkının geniş kesimleri tarafından da benimsendiğinin ve halkların eşit koşullarda kardeşçe yaşamasına duyulan özlemin bir ifadesidir.

PKK feshedilsin çağrısıyla eş zamanlı olarak demokratik toplum vurgusunun yapılması da ayrıca anlamlıdır. Çok açık ki Kürt halkı bir kez daha diyalog-çözüm ve barış için ellerini uzatmıştır.

Şimdi bu eli tutmak ve boşlukta kalmamasını sağlamak çok önemlidir. Bu yüzden kayyım politikalarına son verilmesinden anadilde eğitim hakkına ve nihayetinde Kürt halkının en temel haklarının anayasa başta olmak üzere her düzeyde garanti altına alınması için gerekli adımların atılması, ihtiyaç duyulan hukuki zeminin sağlanması gerekir.

Bu gerekliliklerin yerine getirilmesini savunan bir barış hareketinin varlığı sürecin en büyük ihtiyacıdır. Çok açık ki bir barış hareketinde yan yana gelmeliyiz. İşçi sınıfı mücadelesinin ve Kürt halkının taleplerinin yan yana gelişi için sürecin sunduğu zeminin güçlendirilmesine çabalamak, “Barışın kaybedeni olmaz!” çağrısının ne kadar doğru olduğunu herkese bir kez daha gösterecektir."

Now is the time for peace!

Abdullah Öcalan’s message from the prison-island of İmralı presents an important opportunity for the peaceful resolution of the Kurdish issue through dialogue. Both the stance of the DEM Party delegation who delivered Öcalan’s message, and the crowds that gathered in the press conference hall and in the squares of cities such as Van and Diyarbakır show that this message is embraced by broad sections of the Kurdish people and reflects a longing for peoples to live together as equals.

It is also of great significance that the call for the dissolution of the PKK was accompanied by an emphasis on a democratic society.

This message makes it clear that the Kurdish people have once again extended their hand for dialogue, resolution and peace.

It is now crucial that we take this outstretched hand and ensure this gesture does not go unanswered.

Steps must therefore be taken to end the policy of appointing trustee mayors to Kurdish cities, to secure the right to mother tongue education, and ultimately to guarantee the most basic rights of the Kurdish people at every level, starting with the constitution. The existence of a peace movement advocating for these steps is vital for this process. It is absolutely clear that we need to come together in a movement for peace.

Working to strengthen the ground laid by this process in order to align the working class struggle with the demands of the Kurdish people will once again show everyone the truth of the call, “There is no loser in peace!”
